Mobility Weekly ("we", "us") publishes a weekly editorial digest about the car rental, carsharing and mobility market. This page explains what personal data we process, why, and the rights you have over it. We keep data collection to the minimum needed to run the publication.
Who is responsible
Mobility Weekly is the data controller for the processing described here. For any privacy question or to exercise your rights, contact us at privacy@mobilityweekly.com.
What we collect
- Newsletter subscription. If you subscribe, we store the email address you provide so we can send you the digest. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in every email.
- Server & security logs. Like most websites, our host records standard technical data when you visit — IP address, browser/user-agent, the pages requested, and timestamps — to operate the site and protect it from abuse.
- Aggregate analytics. If and where we measure readership, we use privacy-respecting, aggregate statistics and do not build advertising profiles of individual readers.
We do not ask for, or intentionally collect, special-category data, and we do not sell personal data to anyone.
Why we process it (legal bases)
- Consent — for sending you the email newsletter. You give it when you subscribe and can withdraw it at any time.
- Legitimate interests — for keeping the website running, secure, and for understanding aggregate readership, balanced against your rights.
Sharing & processors
We share data only with service providers that help us operate, and only as needed:
- an email delivery provider, to send the newsletter;
- a hosting/infrastructure provider, to serve https://mobilityweekly.com and store logs;
- the social platforms we publish on (e.g. Facebook, LinkedIn, Telegram) — if you interact with our posts or accounts there, that interaction is governed by those platforms' own privacy policies, not this one.
Cookies
The site itself sets little to no cookies. Where a provider (e.g. an embedded subscribe form or aggregate analytics) sets one, it is used to make that feature work or to count visits in aggregate — not to track you across other sites. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings.
How long we keep it
We keep your newsletter email until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it. Technical logs are retained only for a short period needed for operations and security, then deleted or anonymised.
International transfers
Some providers may process data outside the European Economic Area. Where that happens, we rely on appropriate safeguards (such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or an adequacy decision).
Your rights
If you are in the EEA/UK, you have the right to access, correct, delete, or port your data, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent at any time. To exercise any of these, email privacy@mobilityweekly.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection supervisory authority.
Children
Mobility Weekly is a business-to-business publication and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the publication evolves. When we do, we will revise the "last updated" date above. Material changes affecting subscribers will be noted in the newsletter.
